InterfaceFLOR is now world's largest manufacturer of modular carpet, specialized in design, manufacture and supply of sustainable carpet tiles, for both commercial and residential uses.
The history of the company began with the invention of the carpet tile approximately 50 years ago, by the Dutch company Heuga, now part of InterfaceFLOR.
Since then, InterfaceFLOR has designed innovative and award-winning modular carpet for a wide range of commercial environments such as corporate, healthcare, hospitality, retail, education and government, as well as for residential spaces (FLOR by Heuga range).
InterfaceFLOR has won numerous design and innovation awards for its market-leading modular floor covering products. In addition, it has also become widely recognised as a pioneer in sustainable manufacturing and business practices, and has won many prestigious accolades for its environmental initiatives including the Queen's Award for Sustainable Development in 2002 and 2008. The company is also ranked number 1 in Globescan's survey of sustainability experts worldwide.
During the mid nineties, the company's founder and chairman, Ray Anderson, put the company on track to becoming the first sustainable company by 2020. InterfaceFLOR already recycles waste materials and reuses products in its production facilitires and offers climate neutral products to customers through its Cool CarpetĀ® programme in partnership with NGO Climate Care form UK.

The number one unique selling point of Intercell is the low height of the system, in combination with great caractheristics of strength and non-flamability. The minimum height if Intercell system is 40 mm, thus enabling the construction of buildings with a lower total height, with the same effective workspace, but saving substantial amount of building materials and building days.
