Arval

BNP Paribas Group

At the end of 2009, Arval had two objectives in terms of workplace planning: relocate and reorganize internally. Based on a common workplace concept of BNP Paribas Group, Arval was challenged to adopt a new workplace planning that would facilitate human collaboration and ultimately streamline its operations. Our role was to support Arval in meeting these objectives through smart design ideas, and within a contemporary design theme: 'Think Green'.

For their new space, Arval wanted an entirely different planning in order to improve communication flows and shorten workflow and operations. We gave the staff several informal meeting areas to encourage them to interact more often and be collaborative.

Also, we created multipurpose meeting rooms offering a variety of applications, ranging from internal meetings and trainings to more official meetings.

From a well-being point of view, we took special care in transposing the 'Green' theme we were assigned. So, we used warm natural colours and added nature motifs, such as leaves and bamboo, on the walls.

The reaction from staff was extremely positive. People were impressed by their new open and friendly work environment and that just might have supported them adjust faster to their new collaborative working style.
